Leading with Compassion

What does it really mean to lead with compassion?

This question is thoughtfully considered by twenty-five remarkable authors in Leading with Compassion. Each author shares their personal journey of how embracing compassion and self-awareness has transformed not only the way they lead but also their connection to the world and the people around them.

This book explores how compassion can be cultivated for ourselves and others, creating environments where collaboration and mutual support take precedence over competition. Through their stories, these authors show how conscious leadership, rooted in empathy, vulnerability, and responsibility, can transform workplaces and communities. By putting people first, they demonstrate that compassionate leadership creates ripples of positive change far beyond the workplace.

As you journey through these pages, we hope you’ll find inspiration to embrace your own path to leading with compassion. May these stories remind you that even in our most vulnerable moments, we are never truly alone. There is a community of like-minded individuals, all working to create a better world for everyone. Join us, and let’s begin transforming the world, our work, and ourselves from the inside out.

What Would Rossi Do?

First you might ask, who is Rossi?

Rossi, pictured to the right, is our family Australian Shepherd and as we are a ski family, he is named after Rossignol skis - he definitely prefers the cold weather too!

So what does Rossi have to do with compassionate leadership? And why should you even care about "What Would Rossi Do?"

So back to the question of why you should even care...well Rossi is a great dog. He is FUN! He is JOYOUS! He is HAPPY! He is COMPASSIONATE!

Oh and he is really lazy and rolls upside down with his ball to avoid having to chase it!!!!

But Rossi isn't a leader!!! And the story really isn't about Rossi....

"What Would Rossi Do?" is the title of my chapter in the book, Compassionate Leadership: Cultivating Connection From the Inside Out an Amazon bestseller published as the second in the series of leadership books by Changing Work.

It is a story of a leader who listened. A leader who took a story I had shared and brought if forth in a key moment.

I hope this intrigues you and you want to read more!

What readers had to say.

“As an executive coach, I work with leaders of fortune 500 companies and one thing I can say is that there is not enough compassion in leadership. Instead they focus so much on the bottom line they forget about the people who are serving their customers and the business. Leading with Compassion is an inspiring book of how leaders can use compassion to not only foster trust and psychological safety within the workplace, but also positively affect profitability and production through compassionate leadership. Terrific book! Every leader needs to read this.” ~A.A. on Amazon

“Blair’s chapter, ‘What Would Rossi Do?"‘ reminds us that true leadership begins with compassion, presence, and the courage to be imperfect.” ~ T.L. on LinkedIn

“I so resonate with your journey of just showing up and seeing what vulnerability can do!” ~ S.R. on LinkedIn
